Avery had a few episodes of biting and scratching a few weeks ago (and yes, a couple notes home from daycare) so I'm totally relieved to report that now she's giving hugs, blowing kisses, and working on "gentle" and "nice touch." She is infatuated with doggies right now and loves it when the dogs come inside or when Daddy takes her out to visit the dogs at the kennels. Her favorite furry friend is Chase; Avery just loves to give her hugs. I suspect Avery likes Chase so much because she is too old to get up and flee when Avery approaches.
Now that Avery has mastered walking, it's pretty much all she wants to do. She walks in circles around the house. Here she is pulling her musical duckie through the kitchen. This little one is constantly on the go, which means Mommy and Daddy are constantly on the go, too!Over the past few weeks, Avery's communication skills have really developed. She can ask for "juice" (aka any drink) and goes to the fridge to wait for us to get it for her. She shakes her head no, and signs eat, more, and just learned "please" which makes me so proud! Her favorite word is doggie, and besides hi, bye, shoe, mama, ball, dada, ducky, and Chase, she now says "side" to go outside.
We are definitley enjoying the spring weather, and have been spending as much time as we can "side" with our doggies!
