Happy Easter! We celebrated this year with lots of egg dyeing, egg hunting, family and good food. Avery especially enjoying putting the Barbie lego set in her Easter basket together with her Pa and helping with all the Easter decorations. As for me, I was happy to get one family photo of all us between rain showers. It was another holiday with some very nice memories!

Tellus Science Museum
Despite it being March (warmer weather?!) we had snow flurries and temps hovering in the 30s last weekend. To get out of the house while staying warm, we took advantage of the Bank of America “Museums on Us” program and decided to explore the Tellus Science Museum. We randomly have a BoA credit card, despite me working for a competing financial institution, and the perks include free admission for cardholders at select museums across the country on the first weekend of the month. I will shamefully keep my BoA credit card for such perks, just don’t tell the STI CEO...
Tellus turned out to be the perfect escape from the wintry weather. In fact, Avery loved seeing the dinosaurs so much that we went through the exhibit twice. The highlight? Touching fossilized dinosaur poop! This was highly amusing for my silly 4-year old.
She also enjoyed the hands on experiments in the Collins Family Big Backyard exhibit and mining for gems. The transportation exhibit was neat, too, and we especially liked the space suit and the restored Indian motorcycle. I wonder if Frank and Mike from American Pickers had anything to do the Indian! Here are a few photos from our explorations.

Look closely and you will see Avery's teeny tiny head in the space suit....

Happy Birthday, Maggey!
Today we celebrated Maggey's 8th birthday with a little doggie ice cream and a lot of affection. We sure do love our very special English Setter and hope for many more birthdays to celebrate!
